How I accidentally became vegan.

I ACCIDENTALLY became vegan about 3 years ago.

Many people ask me how I became vegan, and what steps I took to become completely vegan.

You can believe it or not, but I went vegan overnight. EXACTLY folks, one day I just woke up and decided that I didn't need to eat any kind of milk products or meat anymore.

The truth is that I turned ACCIDENTALLY vegan LOL

I became vegan in 2017, but between 2012 and 2016 I no longer consumed lactose due to an intolerance that I had discovered in my teens. Between those years I also no longer had the habit of eating red meat because I didn't like the taste. My diet consisted of fruits, fish, seafood and eggs. When I moved to Australia by myself in 2016 I knew that I would have to spend my money, because my parents could afford that. That's when I said goodbye to seafood and fish and started to consume more eggs and chicken. When I moved to Australia, I worked a lot in hospitality and the advantage of working with hospitality in Australia is all the free food that we can eat from the events. Long store short, one day, actually a VERY important day on my vegan journey, I had eaten a chicken from one of those events, but I don't know what was in that chicken, but I can guarantee that after this day I could not eat chicken nevermore. After that day, I had promised that I would just eat eggs from now on.

MORAL OF THE HISTORY: after a few days I started to dislike eggs. I already want to apologize to you who think I was ungrateful - YES, I do know that exist many people on the street that would be grateful to have eggs to eat everyday life, but what I am trying to explain is that all that I wanted at that moment is find a new way to to nourish myself.

THE NEXT STEPS BEFORE BECOME A VEGAN

One certainly my boyfriend took me to a seafood restaurant, I was very excited because for months that do not eat fish or seafood. However, which I did not know, is that in that exact day I would become vegan. I don't know how to explain what happened, I just know that day my body realized that it didn't make sense for me to eat any more meat. I remember arriving at the restaurant, try the shrimp, and thinking that meat was no longer part of my life. After that day I had decided that I would become vegan and that I would try to find out more about veganism. I looked for documentaries, readings, videos, and vegan people to find out more about veganism. Nowadays I am very happy with what I eat. The vegan world is a world of infinite types of dishes.

This post is not meant to compel you to be vegan.I always say that it's not about being vegan, but about making better choices, so if the meat is important to you, and your lifestyle, it's okay. The important thing is that you are aware that you can help the planet and animals more if you decrease the meat in your life. Smile & Shine and Keep safe from the Corona Virus.
